加拿大的The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC)此三個主管不同學術領域的國家委員會所共同公佈之「三委員會政策說明：涉及人類研究的倫理行為」（Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans）第九章「涉及加拿大第一民族、因紐特人以及梅蒂人的研究」（Research Involving the First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples of Canada）（連結）
